War Veterans: America’s REAL Life Super Heroes!

Superman, Spiderman, Batman….Twilight characters….Although these are great American Comic Book Super Heroes, their adventures can only be pictured in Comic Books and in movies. Did you know we have real life Super Heroes walking amongst us everyday??

With Comic Con taking off this week, we thought it would be a perfect time to talk about our REAL LIFE Super Heroes…our War Veterans. The men and women who have fought and are currently fighting for freedom and all the values Americans stand for and hold true today are the epitome of what it means to be a Super Hero.

Although most of the comic book characters are almost 80 years old, yet don’t look a day over 30, our real life super heroes do age…and most of them need assistance. Patient Advocate, Alex Asaro, visits the San Diego Living Show to discuss how we can help our super heroes….our War Veterans.

Western Health Home Care would like to thank the men and women of our Military and Armed Forces who devote their lives to our Freedom! We salute our Super Heroes!

Our Next Big Event!

Hey Everyone!

We wanted to fill you all in on our next community event! We will be participating as a sponsor at the Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser at the Encinitas Senior Center on Monday, August 27, 2012! This event is open to the public and will be wonderful chance to meet some of the lovely Encinitas Senior Center members, enjoy a nice meal, a glass of wine and hang out with the Western Health gang!

The entertainment will be provided by the Peter Sprague Jazz Trio. Special guest appearances include the Mayor of Encinitas, City Council Members, Senior Citizen Commissioners and the Parks and Recreation Commissioners!

Tickets are currently on sale at the Encinitas Community Center for just $13 each! The reception begins at 4:45 pm and dinner will follow at 5:30 p.m.

Make sure to buy your tickets now and reserve your seat at the Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser. Hope to see you there!

La Jolla Jewish Community Center’s Senior Prom

Western Health Home Care had a great time participating as a sponsor for the La Jolla Jewish Community Center’s (JCC) Senior Prom on Sunday, June 24, 2012! This year’s theme was Royal Flush Casino, where guests indulged in gambling, refreshments, and of course….dancing!

Western Health represented well with our table of literature and goodies, including a raffle for a $25 Visa Gift Card! Sponsoring events all over San Diego is something we love to do and really take pride in. It gives us the opportunity to mingle with different members of the community, educate them on their Home Health options and have a little fun ourselves!

Encinitas July Themed Party

Western Health had the pleasure of sponsoring the Encinitas Senior Center’s 4th of July Themed Party today! Melissa had a wonderful time meeting and greeting some fantastic members of the Senior Community! Members enjoyed a nutritious lunch and were then treated to a great American past-time treat…Root-Beer Floats!
