Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

The blog has begun again . Today I would like to talk about Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease ( COPD). COPD is the most common chronic respiratory disease among seniors. It’s a disease that causes the lungs’ airways to become blocked, making it hard to breathe. COPD includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis. With emphysema the walls between manyu of the air sacs are destroyed , leading to a few3 large air sacs instead of many tiny ones. Chronic bronchitis is where the air sacs get inflamed and thicken which causes an increase in the number and size of mucus producing cells . Results are you have excessive muscus production which causes coughing and poor air exchange. What can you do to for easier breathing Quit smoking which is one of the causes, reduce exposure to lung irritants and eat several small nutrietne rich meals instead of large meals that leave you feeling full and restrict the lungs making breathing difficult.
